Celebrity Event Planner Shavonne Cantrell of Jewellz Creations is transforming client’s brands one event at a time

Shavonne Cantrell is an expert event planner, caterer and entrepreneur who inspires single mothers and young women to become their own boss and lead a life free from limitations.

A star in her own right, Cantrell’s light and love for events was birthed in her family where her passion for cooking, serving, and entertaining guests was first realized. “I come from a big family that loves to get together and have a good time, which is where many of my initial events started. I gained a reputation of being the ‘event thrower’ on holiday’s like Easter, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day, where I decorated the whole house and had coordinated desserts and treats to match,” Cantrell tells Medium.

In 2014, she established Jewell’s Creation and has worked with celebrities, talk show hosts, fashion houses, and high-profile entertainment industry and business clients. Known for her keen attention to detail, professionalism and for really listening to client’s needs, Cantrell’s business thrived during the pandemic.

“After doing event planning and catering for 7 years, I realized that I needed other streams of income. I branched out and expanded my company after doing a survey and finding out how important good meals were to busy people who did not have the time to cook nutritious meals,” she says.

Serving the Southern California celebrity and influencer market, she connects with other like-minded creatives to network and build clientele. For Cantrell, building her enterprises is the foundation that her children will stand on to continue to build generational wealth. She’s the type of person that won’t let obstacles — physical or mental, keep her from achieving her business goals. In her own words, “Anything I start I have to complete.”

The mother of 6 daughters has instilled these same principles into her daughter, all of whom own businesses themselves. “Being a single mother, I developed an unstoppable go-getter tenacity to lead by example and get the job done, she says.

In the highly competitive market, Cantrell has been able to consistently set herself apart and establish her brand as a highly creative and unpredictable event planning and brand activation firm. “I use social groups and forums to stay inspired and refreshed with ideas, she says.

With an abundance of support and social media and through good ole fashioned word of mouth, more and more companies turn to Jewellz Creations.

Cantrell tells Medium that to be successful you must believe in God, believe in yourself, and have a support system. She learned along the way that you cannot sleep on any new opportunities because these opportunities open new doors to grow your business.

“The new doors also allow for your clientele to grow even more. Each client has a friend that may need your service and when you give them your best they will recommend you to others. The most important lesson is marketing. “Market yourself and market your business on every platform that will allow you to advertise. Marketing is another way to increase your business. Most of all, says Cantrell, stay true to God, your dream, and your legacy, “ she says.

The astute business-woman is currently working on obtaining a real estate license and plans to expand her brand to include a real estate brokerage license and dealership license.
